We’re a cabinet shop, not a data company. We collect what we need to quote and build your job, we don’t sell any of it, and this page explains the rest in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] or call (647) 482-1854 and a person will answer.
What we collect, and when
When you send us a form. Your name, email address, phone number, whether you’re a homeowner, builder or designer, the type of project, your message, and anything you attach — drawings, photos, a PDF. If you used the instant estimator, the estimate it produced (your measurements, finish, layout and the picture of the model) is attached to your message as a PDF.
When you use the instant estimator. The measurements and choices you enter are worked out entirely in your browser. Nothing leaves your device and nothing is stored by us unless you press “Send me this estimate” and submit the form.
When you visit the site. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and interaction data to tell people from spam robots; Google’s privacy policy and terms apply to that. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking (the Google tag). It sets cookies that tell us when someone who clicked one of our Google ads goes on to send an enquiry, so we can see which ads bring in real projects and stop paying for ones that don’t. If you send us an enquiry after clicking one of our ads, the email address and phone number you entered are scrambled (hashed) before being shared with Google, only so Google can confirm which ad led to the enquiry. We also note on the enquiry which website or ad brought you to us. We don’t use any of this to build profiles of you. You can limit ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com or block cookies in your browser. We don’t run Facebook, Instagram or other social media pixels. If we add other analytics or advertising tools, this page will say so.
What we don’t collect. We never ask for payment card numbers, government ID or passwords through the site. Please don’t send them through the form; if a job goes ahead, deposits are handled directly, not online.
Why we collect it
To answer you, to prepare a quote, to book a site measure, to draw and build the job, to deliver and install it, and to keep a record of quotes and contracts afterwards. If you send us drawings or photos, we use them for exactly one purpose: pricing and building your cabinetry. We don’t use client photos in our marketing without asking first.
Who can see it
- Our team — the owner and our coordinator, who handles quotes, scheduling and site questions.
- The people who keep the site running — our web host and the company that maintains the website, who can see what passes through it in the course of doing that work and nothing more.
- Our email provider, which delivers the messages, including the copy of the estimate sent back to you.
- Google Ads, which receives the ad click ID and a hashed (scrambled) copy of the email and phone you enter, only so we can tell which of our ads bring enquiries.
- Google, through reCAPTCHA on our forms, and Instagram if you follow a link to our page there. Their own policies apply once you’re on their sites.
That’s the whole list. We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information, and no advertiser other than Google Ads, as described above, receives any of it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t turn into a job are kept as long as we need to answer them and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Where a job goes ahead, we keep the quote, the drawings and the contract for as long as Ontario’s business and tax record-keeping rules require, which is generally seven years. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless we’re required to keep a record.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it, at any time by emailing [email protected]. We’ll respond within thirty days. If you’re not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
How we protect it
The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Files you upload go straight to our inbox and aren’t published anywhere. Access to our email and records is limited to the people named above. No system is perfect — email in particular is not a secure channel — which is why we ask you not to send sensitive financial details through it.
Children
Our site and services are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.
Changes to this page
If our practices change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. We won’t reduce your rights under this policy without telling you.
